The Caloundra Adventist Retirement Village is operated by Seventh-day Adventist Aged Care (South Queensland) Limited. This is a public company limited by guarantee with an ACN of 104 195 922.

The operations of the company are governed by its constitution which has been lodged with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). The management of the business and affairs of the company is entrusted to a board of ten directors appointed by the members of the company. These directors supervise the operations of the four villages operated by the company and have the responsibility to manage the affairs of the company appropriately as any company director would be expected to. The directors are accountable to the members at the time of the Annual General Meeting as well as to ASIC. This ensures that competent governance of the company is implemented and maintained at all times.

The purposes of the company as spelled out in the constitution include the following:

(a) to advance the distinctive health and healing ministry of the Church, especially as it relates to aged care;
(b) to develop policies and practices in aged care in harmony with the policies and principles of the Church and in compliance with the various regulatory authorities;
(c) to foster the development and continuing well being of the whole person, including spiritual, physical, mental and social well-being;
(d) to promote good health in the aged, and to promote a lifestyle and nutritional understanding that favours abstinence from drugs and other harmful substances and encourages a vegetarian lifestyle;
(e) to assist those aged persons who suffer from disadvantage or need of whatever form;
(f) without limiting the generality of the previous object, to develop programs which promote the good health of aged persons and the care of the aged among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and any other minority community;
(g) to conduct education programs for the maintenance of health and prevention of disease, to include:-
(i) health education programs for residents and staff of aged care facilities, residents’ families and the broader community, with the object of enhancing the lifestyle and health of the participants;
(ii) further education programs emphasising the primary need of wellness and the importance of restoration of the entire person - physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.
(h) to provide the highest possible standard of professional care for all residents of aged care facilities, irrespective of race, religion and socio-economic standing, having regard to their spiritual, physical, psychological and social needs in an environment which ensures the optimum quality of life;
(i) to introduce to or to reinforce with the aged the grace and love of God and provide opportunities for the fulfillment of the spiritual needs of residents and staff of aged care facilities, residents’ families, and visitors in the daily program of each aged care facility;
(j) do all such other things as are or may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the above objects.
