Our Low Care (Hostel) facility has been operating for more than 20 years.

Low Care residents are often in need of quite simple care and maintain a reasonably independent lifestyle. These residents enjoy comfortable private rooms with a bedroom ensuite and dine in an air-conditioned dining room. If they are unable to make it to the dining room for any reason, our staff will serve meals in their room. A common dining room provides an opportunity for socializing which we believe is an important factor in community living. Some accommodation for married couples is also available.

Inclusive in the Low Care daily fees are meals (both vegetarian and non vegetarian meals are offered), full laundry service, nursing care and the Lifestyle and Leisure Program (link to Village Activities) activities.

The Village operates a bus service to local shopping centres for residents and regular outings are offered as part of the the Lifestyle and Leisure Program.

Low Care residents can browse the Internet and keep in touch with family and friends by email in the Care Facility Internet Room located in the well stocked Library.

An Aged Care Assessment (ACAS) is needed before a resident is eligible to move into the Low Care home. This assessment is conducted by a member of an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) who measure your care needs against Government criteria to determine if you need care, and if so, what level of care is required. An ACAT team is based at the Redlands Hospital.

For people who currently receive in-home assistance, Adventist Retirement Village, Victoria Point, offers respite care for up to 63 days in any financial year.
